Chelsea coach Maurizio Sari has confirmed he will not be able to prevent Belgian star Eddin Hazard from leaving the team to satisfy his desire to join Real Madrid.
Hazard, who ends his contract with the London club in June 2020, has refused to renew the connection with his current team despite the administration’s great efforts.
According to press reports, Chelsea offered Hazar a new contract with a weekly salary of 350,000 pounds ($ 450,000), but the player is determined not to make a decision about his future before the end of the season.
The Blues have been firmly in front of Bayern Munich’s attempt to sign promising striker Kalom Hodson-Oduy in an attempt to make up for Hazar’s departure.
“If he wants to leave, I think he should leave,” said Sari on Wednesday, before meeting Bournemouth in the league. “Of course, I hope otherwise, I hope he stays here.”
“He has the ability to be the best player in Europe right now, sometimes he is happy and at other times he is less happy,” he said. “My job is to develop him and put him in a position to make the best.”
Sari used Hazard as the “fake” striker before signing Argentine Gonzalo Higuain from Milan, although the Belgian captain prefers to play at the wing. However, the former coach of Napoli expressed satisfaction with the performance of the player in his current position.
“I do not care, I just want to play football,” he said, “I do not care what the coach says. I want to give the best to this team. ”
