Real Madrid has appointed Zinedine Zidane as technical director of the first team on Monday evening, following a meeting of the board of directors.
“The board of directors decided today, Monday, to terminate Santiago Solari’s contract, and at the same time, an offer was made to continue working at the club. Real Madrid appreciates the work he has done and the loyalty he has shown to his home,” the club’s official statement said.

According to the statement, Florentino Perez, president of the club, will appear at a press conference with Zidane this evening at 8 pm Spain time in the stadium “Santiago Bernabeu”.
