Rashford on bench for disciplinary reasons
Marcus Rashford, a forward for Manchester United, was left out of the starting lineup for the team’s Premier League match against Wolves on Saturday due to “internal disciplinary” issues.
Rashford had been performing well for the club, scoring in their last two games and netting three goals for England at the World Cup.
Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag mentioned Rashford’s exclusion during a pre-match interview but did not provide any further details, stating only that it was in accordance with “our rules”.
Alejandro Garnacho replaced Rashford in the starting lineup, which was otherwise unchanged from the team’s win over Nottingham Forest.
Manchester United will be seeking to extend their four-match winning streak in all competitions, while Wolves are trying to move out of the relegation zone.
