Tottenham Hotspur equaled Manchester City’s position in the race for Champions League qualification, securing a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest on Friday.
Richarlison and Dejan Kulusevski found the net, establishing a lead despite Yves Bissouma’s red card in the second half.
Following a fairly balanced first 45 minutes, Kulusevski provided an assist for Richarlison’s headed goal, before becoming the scorer himself to double Tottenham’s lead.
Bissouma’s expulsion in the 70th minute, due to a high challenge on Ryan Yates, added tension to the final 20 minutes.
However, Guglielmo Vicario emerged relatively unscathed as Tottenham achieved consecutive wins for the first time since October.
