Mykhaylo Mudryk agrees five-year deal

Mykhaylo Mudryk agrees five-year contract to join Arsenal

Mykhaylo Mudryk, a target for Arsenal, has reportedly agreed to join the club on a five-year deal.

While Chelsea are also interested, Arsenal is said to be the Ukrainian player’s preferred destination.

The two teams are currently in negotiations over the transfer fee, with Arsenal having had a £55m bid rejected and Shakhtar Donetsk demanding as much as £88m for Mudryk’s signature.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League since last summer and could potentially force through the transfer if Arsenal decides to meet Shakhtar’s asking price.

The club’s sporting director, Edu Gaspar, has a history of sticking to the team’s valuation of a player rather than overpaying. Transfermarkt values Mudryk at around €40m.
