FA Cup Southampton beat Palace after goalkeeper error

Crystal Palace suffered a 2-1 defeat against Southampton in the FA Cup at Selhurst Park.

The hosts, who have only won one of their past six matches, had taken the lead through Odsonne Edouard in the 14th minute, but James Ward-Prowse equalized for the Saints late in the first half with a free-kick.

In the second half, Adam Armstrong scored for Southampton after a mistake from Vicente Guaita.

Despite Crystal Palace’s efforts, including a missed opportunity from Jordan Ayew and a free-kick from Michael Olise, they were unable to find an equalizer and Southampton progressed to the fourth round.
